This cartoon is also the product of my diploma in TEFL. Someone called Krashen developed a theory that students fell into two categories: those that under-correct their mistakes and those that over-correct their mistakes.
Hello, your cartoons about teaching English are marvellous!!!!! I am not sure what’s better for your: teaching or drawing but please don’t stop doing both of them.
I suggest that your student in the second picture should gesticulate and smile more…. He’s making a lot of mistakes to the degree that no one can understand him, he himself included, that’s why he is supporting his speech with gestures. On the other hand he is really proud of his communication skills and he sees no reasons to be interrupted in his more than marvellous speech.
Regards and all the best
