These cartoons are about teachers using “authentic materials” in the lesson, like songs and videos, which is supposed to be good for the students. I think most of the time teachers managed to choose things that their students would find incomprehensible, like songs by “The Pogues” or a “Fawlty Towers” video, that they knew they, at least, would enjoy.
